This Privacy Policy explains how 5V Digital, SIA (registration number 40203709424, “we”) processes your personal data when you visit 5v.lv, place an order or contact us. We act as the data controller in the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data we collect

  • Order data: name, billing/shipping address, email, phone, company details, items purchased.
  • Account data: email, password (hashed), order history.
  • Payment data: processed by WooPayments / Stripe - we do not store your full card details.
  • Communication data: contact form submissions, emails.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited (via cookies and analytics, with consent).

2. Purpose & legal basis

  • Processing orders and providing services - Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract).
  • Tax and accounting obligations - Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation).
  • Customer support and replying to inquiries - Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
  • Analytics and improving the website - Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent).

3. Data sharing

We share data only with:

  • Payment processors (WooPayments / Stripe).
  • Shipping providers (e.g. Latvijas Pasts, DPD, Omniva).
  • Hosting and email providers (areait.lv).
  • Tax authorities, when required by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Retention

Order data is kept for 5 years (accounting requirement under Latvian law). Account data is kept until you request deletion. Cookie consent records are kept for 12 months.

You have the right to: access your data, request correction, request erasure, restrict processing, data portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@5v.lv. You may also lodge a complaint with the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (dvi.gov.lv).

We use functional cookies (required for cart and login), and with your consent, analytics and marketing cookies. You can change your preferences at any time via the cookie banner or your browser settings.

We use SSL/TLS encryption, password hashing and access controls. No system is 100 % secure - but we apply industry standards to protect your data.
